Hey, decided to make an account to ask if anyone knows about this webcomic that i randomly remembered seeing. I'm not sure if it's actually lost, so I figured here would be a better place to post.
I'm looking for a short (20-40ish?) page webcomic I remember reading on Facebook of all places, some time in the early-mid 2010s. I'm 99% sure it wasn't posted by the creator and was just reuploaded on some page by someone else, I have no memory of the page but thats probably not important lol
The comic itself was drawn in a standard anime style, and I assume it was of Japanese origin. I have no idea what its actual name was if it had one, my brain immediately jumps to "rotting girlfriend" or something along those lines.
The story took place from the perspective of a boy who was dating a girl in the hospital; every panel was the same backdrop of a hospital bed with the girl lying in it, either in a 3/4ths view or dead on. Pretty sure there was a window in the room. The girl herself I'm pretty sure had short black hair.
The main plot of the comic was the girl talking to the viewer about suffering from a disease that was rotting her body, and holding out hope that she would get better. As the comic progressed, her appearance became increasingly grotesque and gorey as skin fell off her body, until the end of the comic where she finally succumbed to the disease and died. There was a tipping point where the screen acquired a red filter that got darker and more intense as the story went on. I feel as if there was a visual near the end of the story where part of her skull was visible, maybe even a vacant eye socket. It's possible she wasn't dead at that point and was still talking to the viewer.
I remember it sticking with me because I was a lot younger when I saw it (way too young ngl, unsupervised internet access is a funny thing) because of how striking the visuals were to me, and because the story was just really sad. I've never seen anyone talk about it anywhere, so I'd like to see it again, albeit I haven't done too much research, simply because I don't know what to look up. Any help would be appreciated, I'm about to sleep as I write this so I won't be able to respond immediately, but I'll check back and answer any questions I can. Hope I could describe it well enough, thanks.
