Sorry for necroposting, but did you ever get a response back on this? Obviously I don't think we need a formal "staff team" system (I'm not even sure if we have formal rules beyond "don't be a dick") but I noticed some weird oddities, like how every moderator is a "global" moderator except for one. Maybe the system needs to be cleaned up a little and explained somewhere, just as a CYA thing?

Pretty much everything Ziggy said above. I do want to apologize for my own lack of activity here. My title here may say "Administrator", but I'm more an admin for the Discord server. I was only really promoted to help out there. We have been adding new moderators to our staff team. So far we have 3 new moderators that look over all of the sites the wiki encompasses (Ziggy, barcel, and sixtyfours). While we do have new blood we're also working on a plan to help better these forums. We should have some changes happening soonish. For now I'll try to be more active here to help mod, but I may not post much.

Ah I believe you're talking about theCarbonFreeze. They were brought quite sometime ago to only look after specific sections of the forums after we had some issues with a certain thread about a certain NSFL topic from the 70s... That's why they don't have the "global" title. Co, while not full staff, is a "global" mod for this site and only this site. We also have two individuals that are administrators on the wiki itself that only work on that site and not here or on the Discord.
