Writing.com is it still worth using?

Is Writing.com even worth using at all? I would use it but the problem is that the owners of the site forces you to pay for a subscription for you to do anything on there. You can't upload any stories unless you pay to be able to do what other sites allow you to do for free. You could accumulate enough points to get a free subscription, but the problem with that is it takes a long time, plus if you try to accumulate points by leaving reviews on people's stories, they'll block you off and prevent you from gaining points if you do it that way. It wouldn't be so bad if they let you upload one story a month for free, but they can't even do that. Plus the site never got any updates since the 2000's. It looks exactly what a website from the early 2000's would look like. To be honest, I'm suprise that the site has even lasted this long given its current state.
