In 1978, an adaptation of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables was made, starring Richard Jordan and Anthony Perkins. The theatrical cut of the movie is available on YouTube and on the Internet Archive. It is only 2 hours long. However, the full version of the movie is, or so I've read, 2.5 hours long and includes at least two missing scenes. This includes the scene where Jean Valjean escapes the convent by being buried alive in a coffin. I have seen gif sets of these scenes and am certain that they do exist. They are available on a DvD version of the film which has not, as far as I know, been uploaded online. Several friends and I have searched for the television cut of Les Mis (1978) and have not been able to locate online. Any thoughts on where it might be? I want to watch it and I want to have the full version of this movie preserved digitally. Thanks!
