SOLVED! man who murders people (NSFW)

I posted this on Reddit but I wanted to give this forum a shot. I have been browsing this forum for over a year as an observer and am excited to contribute!

I saw this movie while staying at in laws house in California summer of 2017, not sure when the movie came out though. It featured a man who was murdering various people for an unknown to me reason. I remember several scenes specifically and cannot figure out the movie online.

One scene, he murders a woman in a motel bathroom, strangling her with the shower curtains. These people are trying to catch the guy and the scene shows a close up of the woman, naked and dead, tangled up in dirty and bloody shower curtains.

Another scene he is fighting with a woman who was trying to catch him during the whole movie. She is holding a rod or weapon of some kind. They are in a car junk yard, I cannot remember if it was day or night. He talks to her before they fight.

The final scene of this movie shows one of the victims recovering in a hospital room. He is awake when the man comes in dressed as a doctor and has a clipboard. He comes over to 'check' on the patient before stabbing the man in the throat with the clipboard, which had a sharp blade attached to it. The recovering victim bleeds to death while the fake doctor casually walks out of the hospital. The women he fought in the battle scene glances at him as she enters the hospital. The movie ends.

This murderous man had an accent like Italian perhaps? I cannot remember.
