Headcanons you believe in

Alright, here’ my dark theory!


In B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherwordly Operations, one of Addison’s cronies, “Shovel-It-In” Steve, whose main ability is sucking things into his mouth like a vacuum, is apparently a mute character (meaning he was never meant to speak throughout the film.)

The B.O.O 101 pitch bibles reveal that in life, he was a sports jock at high school, and he definitely peaked at that time, given he seemed to never be able to let go of the past, even after death.

That said, Id anybody here has ever watched a generic high school rom-com, they know the jocks always bully the non-action guys, the outcasts, and especially the quiet kids. 




You can probably see where I’m going with this, but I need to warn things get really dark, so I’ll try my best to refrain from getting too graphic while still making it so any brave readers who dare proceed beyond this point are aware of what I’m talking about, so if you do not wish to read, look away and scroll past.

So one day Steve could have been picking on a student who preferred to just keep to themselves, often had unusual interests, and generally just seemed “uncool” in Steve and his frat bros’ eyes. 

So they probably took every chance they could to make this kid miserable, from frequently beating him up, insulting and yelling at him, shoving him, basically turning his day from good to miserable in an instant. This continues from elementary all the way to university, with his shitty parents making no attempt to report the bullying to the principal or just move him to a different school entirely. 

Then comes the Quiet kid villain arc. No need to go into detail here, but then when that day came, everyone was panicking, some begging for mercy, and Steve was in his dorm room, drunk as ever, when the quiet kid burst in and gunned him down to his knees. 

That was the first time he ever felt true terror in his life. Down on the floor, his kneecaps broken, trying to crawl away. 

Then Steve turns around to beg for his life, only for the quiet kid to send another one flying. 

It hit Steve in the neck. It opened a gaping wound, and to add insult to injury, it slices open his Vocal Chords. He can no longer talk. When he tries begging for his life, all he can do is exhale like he’s choking on something, almost like a vacuum.

Unfortunately for Steve, he didn’t make it, and even in death, having been shot in his vocal chords silenced him permanently, dooming him to never be able to speak again. 

Ever.






Alright, you guys can look again.






Yeah, I know it’s really dark, and given this movie was probably going to be rated PG had it got that far, this headcanon is far too dark and vile to ever be considered canon to the films events, but it makes sense too.


His inability to speak in his final moments is what gave him the ability to suck everything not his mouth like a vacuum, so he gets a cool power and became an asset to S.K.A.R.E at the cost of his voice.
