EWF, the European Wrestling Federation, not to be confused with Empire Wrestling Federation and the European Weightlifting Federation, was a short lived italian promotion that ran a few shows back in the early 2000's.
What makes this promotion intresting is that it was created at the height of wrestling's mainstream popularity in Italy, back when Smackdown was airing on prime time on Italia 1, which is a huge channel, maybe the biggest one at the time. This is important to note because the event i found features a lot of names from all over Europe, sometimes the whole world in the case of the likes of AJ Styles, high production values and the same commentators who work for Smackdown on tv.
The crowd is massive, they say there's 11k people on commentary, which is likely an exaggeration, but still, for an indie promotion it's an incredible result.
EWF - La Sfida is a DVD containing parts of the second day of tapings. Unfortunately the AJ Styles match where he defends the NWA/TNA belt didn't make the cut, but hey, there's a Rockstar Spud/Drake Maverick match. That's something, right?

I can't seem to find other DVDs online of the other events, unfortunately, and their old website is dead with no archives. They probably were never produced to begin with, the costs of the promotion must have been too expensive despite the great success they had with the crowd. What a shame.
