When I was in elementary school (late 80s/early 90s) my teacher showed us a book of story concepts that an author had before his/her death that were never written and what said author fully had in mind with them isn't known. Each one was a piece of black and white artwork and a one sentence summary. My class and I were asked to pick one of the concepts and write short stories of our own. I don't remember the name of the author or the specific book title but the concepts I remember are:
-A two story house taking off like a rocketship; the summary said something like "It was a perfect lift off." -A sleeping woman with an open book nearby that had barbed vines growing out of the pages; the summary went roughly "Dr. (blank) had warned her about the book; now it was too late." -A placid looking pond with a harp alone near the water; don't recall the summary.
That's about what I remember, though there were at least three or four more concepts in the book. Can't anyone give some more information about this?
