My mum recalls seeing a show that is similar to the British airing children's show, grizzly tales for gruesome kids. There was an episode where a young girl finds a remote and uses it to travel forward in time to all her birthdays, one day however, she looks into a mirror and realises that she's grown old. She sobs in front of the mirror trying to rewind time but it doesn't work. From what I know it was sort of a horror anthology series and this episode was a part of it, aired early to mid 80s, either aired on ITV or BBC1. My mum and i don't know what the show is called or any names of the characters but if you can find anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
Ill admit, I don't exactly know where to start. Because of this I cannot give any people searching for this guidance. What I've given you here is all I have information wise. I wish I knew more about this as the idea has been sitting in my head rent free for over 6 years now. This simple explanation is the only information I currently know about this episode. If anyone wants to begin to search, let me know. I'll try to figure out some things on my own but I'm not sure how good I will be.
Here are some series I've ruled out, & some it could be.
RULED OUT
Armchair Thriller (none of the plots match) The Comic Strip (too comedic Comedy Playhouse BBC2 Playhouse (wrong channel) Hammers House of Mystery & Suspense (none of the plots match) Hammers House of Horror (none of the plots match)
POSSIBILITES
Is it series 3 episode 4 of Dramarama? It's titled "The Young Persons Guide to Going Backwards Through The World." I can't find it uploaded anywhere online. It seems to be lost and it could be our episode.
WIPING
A common practice of the BBC was to wipe their masters to reuse for newer programs. Because of this many old BBC shows are lost forever. One old show know as Jackanory had 3640 episodes and 2330 of them are lost. It's likely even if we do find out what your mom is talking about the footage may not be around like with the Jackanory episodes, & The Dramarama episode.
I don't never seen this before! I used to watch those shows from United Kingdom in here at America! Bob The Builder, Thomas The Tank Engine, Boobah, Charlie and Lola, and Teletubbies aired in American channels!

I also thought dramarama as I recall seeing this exact episode and I wasn't born until 92 but my cousin used to watch it in 80s so my gran had VHS recordings of it

Hey so just wondering, for the episode you saw which was supposedly the exact episode we are trying to find, did the plot match with what I described and would you happen to have that tape anywhere still?
