Hello! With news of the big Testflight leak, I've suddenly become very nostalgic for an old 2D runner game I used to play on my iPhone 5.
It was described by the developers as "The saddest runner game" because there was this whole plot about a girl (the MC)'s friend... being trapped, or something? And the MC had to run to save her. There were enemies you defeated by using magic and maybe weapons. I remember there being an upgrade system.
The whole game had this melancholy feel to it. The colors were very muted but I remember the MC having pink hair. The art was beautiful from what I could remember. It was all hand drawn and had a soft, anime-esque style.
The title almost certainly has "Magia" in it. Maybe "Magia x [something]"? I want to say it came out around 2013-2015 and was paid. Something low like $0.99~$1.99.
