This is a memory that's been lurking in the back of my mind for years now. I've wanted to find this for years, so I thought I may as well come here to see if anyone knows what this is. a bit of backstory first- it was the mid 2010s and I was on holiday with my parents. keep in mind this is a memory from when I was 8-9, so My memory is fuzzy but were in london and decided to go to into an art gallery (if I recall it may have been the tate modern) and they had cinema area, where they played mini movies and documentaries, and what they where playing has, for some reason, stayed in the back of my mind ever since I watched it. it was a documentary on invisibility. (i'm pretty sure it was a documentary, anyway) it showed live-action scenes of people walking, kids playing, all that sort of thing, except they where all invisible, aside from their white outlines. And, from what I can recall, there was a narrator, talking about the future of invisibility and how it could impact our lives, and that's where my memory cuts out. I've kinna just been...thinking about it for years and years, as the whole premise and how it was acted out was just...really weird. I wanted to get this out there to see what people might think of it. If you know anything, please reply. I'll be happy to answer any questions.
Hi i'm pretty sure this is it! The moment I played the vid I got Goosebumps, as the vid's just been a blury video in my head for years now! although I think there are bits missing, one of the only things about the film I remember well is that there was a scene of invisible children playing in a playground, and that scene isn't here. maybe the vid cut some of it out? either way, it was amazing to see that vid again, thank you!
Oh snap, Automaton is right, Steyerl's OTHER invisibility-themed art film (??), "How Not To Be Seen" might actually be it. It has a scene of invisible children playing on a playground!!
And of course! Glad you remembered that you saw it at the Tate, or the search would have taken much longer.
Make sure to mark the thread title with a [ S ] if it is indeed solved! c:
