Posted this elsewhere on the site, but I still want to know if this was real or if I've been misremembering all these years.
Pretty sure I remember the theatrical release of Kung Fu Panda having the original version of Kung Fu Fighting in the end credits. I remember thinking they changed it when we got the DVD.
In all honesty, I was really young, so this really could be a misremembered moment in my childhood. Or it could be an example of the Mandela effect and I'm the only one that seems to have been living in the AU all this time.
Didnβt they use the original at the end of KFP3? Maybe that is getting you mixed up?
I don't think so. I think they used a new version of the one made for the first movie. They updated the lyrics to match the third movie.

Wait, Cats Don't Dance came out in 1997? I could have sworn it came out in the early 90s (think: 1992)! I think maybe I'm mixing up Cartoon Network/Turner animation projects up in my head, and associate the "late 90s" with Warner Animation projects instead (Turner animation projects got absorbed into Warner Animation if I remember correctly). Cartoon Network itself premiered as a channel in 1992.
Guys I am currently freaking out right now because apparently the phrase βTeamwork makes the Dream Workβ does NOT appear in the Trollhunters series at all, itβs absent.
I swear I recall this line being here VERY well and itβs one of the things I remember most from the show, but when I rewatched the show I was waiting for the line to appear but it DIDNT? the fuck?? This is the freakiest Mandela Effect for me, i SWEAR it was in there multiple times throughout the show as a cheeky nod to the fact the show is made by Dreamworks, but it is nowhere to be seen.
I have a lot but this one is the most bizarre to me. I've told the story on a different thread but I'll tell it again.
So when I was little I watched Maggie And The Ferocious Beast occasionally, not a favorite of mine or anything but I'd watch it if it was on. One of the reasons it wasn't really my favorite thing ever was because it kind of creeped me out and I didn't like how a of the characters looked or sounded. The scariest thing to me though was this small sketch of The Beast that would show up at the end of the credits that acted as a company logo of some kind I'd assume. Well, last year I decided to go back and watch the credits just to see what it looked like and lo and behold it doesn't exist. Never has there ever been a picture of him there! 1. For a long time I thought the 70s R&B act "The Five Stairsteps" were "The Five Starships" 2. Bob Barker died in 2008 right after retiring from hosting the Price is Right.
I was shocked to find out Barker died this recently.
Let alone 4 months ago.
But still barker era is peak price is right.
It is. I remember when the hosting duties switched over to Drew Carey SO VIVIDLY. I was still pretty young at the time. I remember being really mad that they changed the host lol

I was flabbergasted to learn that Sonic Adventure 2 came out in 2001 in Japan, and not like 1999 as I originally assumed. I just associate both Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 with the 90s, and thinking the Dreamcast came out earlier than it actually did. It does mean that it was a quick turnaround for Adventure 2: Battle coming out considering that it was pumped out like months later!
We had annual passes to a theme park when I was a kid and I swear I remember seeing maybe 10 people rowing a long boat/canoe into a cave at some point (I was on dry land across from them, looking across the water) and wondering what part what of what ride it was? I think I asked my parents and they had no clue. Now I don't even know if that was even a real ride, or if I ever saw people or a rowboat/canoe at all. Theme park brochure didnt list a rowboat ride, and I don't recall seeing a place you could rent one.
What exactly did I see that day???
you have been mixing stuff up, perhaps a pirate show on the park? or other event using the lake, also if you have seen footage of vintage amusement parks they always have a canoe ride, it may have been in the same city/general area of the park but not an atraction, or maybe you jut mixed soething with the rides from roller coaster tycoon

While I don't recall anyone in costume, it could have been part of an event/show. Or maybe even a VIP pass. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I keep thinking that the first Fantastic Beasts movie came out in either 2015 or 2018 for some reason? My life was really crazy during this time (TBH, the craziness didn't really end until 2020 ironically) which is probably why I can't keep dates straight for things then. Fantastic Beasts 2 DID come out in 2018 though.
I swear that in spring 2004, in a waiting room, I read an article in an Entertainment Weekly magazine about Psy (the South Korean rapper) and how his "upcoming" Gangnam Style song would be an absolute sensation in America. I mean, it ultimately was, but would THAT have been known all the way back in 2004???!!!! A song that debuted in 2012???
