Apparently the designer for the little test animation released it and is now available.
There's might be more stuff that needs to be found, let me explain myself, so Jonathan Gibbs, one of the lead effect artists of the original Shrek, just tweeted this, this implied that there's might be more stuff that we might not heard of
Curious why this wasnt added as a feature on the shrek dvds if it was able to release this whole time or am I missing something?
I guess it was because the original audio is missing or something. I mean, most of the audio does not match up with the lip syncing or anything. I’m guessing the original Chris Farley audio was wiped from most of, if not all copies.
Also, let’s just talk about the test itself. Just what exactly was the thief’s plan? Once he jumped down on the rope, all he could do was dangle in the air like an idiot. He was basically asking to be launched into the air.

We all think as criminals as masterminds. Most, are not that.
It probably wasn't officially released by Dreamworks because the test animation was a failure and I don't think many involved with the movie would have fondness for it. It reflects an unsuccessful time, where the film was on the verge of being cancelled and then they lost their star who was keeping it all together. Really it's a minor miracle that the movie released as an instant classic considering how troubled early production was. This test animation is so far removed from the final version and surrounded by dark memories, so I'm not surprised Dreamworks would rather just forget about it.
I think it's fair to call it found but to know there is still something lost, we already know nearly everything Shrek with Chris Farley had him scrubbed out of it after his passing and this looks to be an example.

Yeah. I don’t know why they would scrub the Farley audio because of his death. It seems kinda like disrespecting the dead by erasing their work, no?
