I remember seeing a cartoon as a young kid in the mid-90’s that had Poseidon/Neptune/some other sea king or god. He had green or blue skin, a large red nose and a beard. He was wearing a crown and either a grass skirt or loincloth, and holding a trident. He was laying on a water bed with fish. He was arguing with somebody and somehow his water bed popped and he sank into it. I mostly remember this because I remember telling my dad how I want a bed like that.
I’m making this thread today because for the longest time, I always thought this was from the Felix the Cat Movie (horrible movie BTW), but I just watched it and there was no such character. Unless he was only on screen for a couple seconds when I zoned out.
There is a Neptune character in the Felix the Cat cartoon "Neptune Nonsense", but he has white skin and does not use a water bed. Was the cartoon in question likely not related to Felix the Cat at all?

Thanks for the suggestion, but that’s not it. I’m thinking it probably wasn’t a Felix cartoon, but for some reason I thought it was.
Neptune in the Willie Whopper cartoon "Davy Jones' Locker" seems to match your description pretty well. There's no water bed, though... maybe it could have been from a different Iwerks cartoon.

I just did a ton of Google Image searches, and combing through any animation I found to see if any of them had water beds. I think think the google image search that finally did it was "Looney Tunes Neptune," which led to a fuzzy screenshot posted on a fan wiki, here: cartooncharacters.fandom.com/wiki/King_Neptune
