Ed Edd n Eddy super soaker browser game?

I thought about it more and realized if there was a game tied to it I feel like it would have been mentioned in the commercial, it does mention to visit cartoonnetwork.com but not specifically for a game. I'll try searching through the wayback machine during the time of the commercial to see if I can find anything.

I didn't find anything in the way back machine but something else I did notice is the url in this video title www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFHePQmJddM "CartoonNetwork.com/Hasbro" I'm not sure where it came from but it wasnt archived.

I have looked into a lot of old CartoonNetwork.com content and, unfortuately, I haven't heard of this until now. I can believe it existed, there were a bunch of promo games back then and your brother's description sounds legitimate. One game I can name is Mojo Jojo Match n Catch, advertising the Dairy Queen PPG promotion in 2001. Another advertised a Coppertone sunscreen promotion in 2002. The pages are archived, but the actual games are just as lost as this one, as far as I'm aware.

In the Super Soaker commercial, the sweepstakes was to end on April 22, 2002. The earliest recording of it I know of was dated March 2. If the game is real, it's lost because Wayback Machine's captures of the CN site throughout March and April of 2002 were incredibly slim. The game was up for, let's assume, two months, and you could only find it through the promo page.

If the /Hasbro link was accurate, it would be a redirect and send you to a longer URL, likely '/promotion/200203.hasbro/index.html' or similar. No pages associated with it appear to be saved at all, and there were a few other Hasbro CN sweepstakes during the early 2000s. I'd assume the explicit branding is the only thing that kept certain games from staying on the site as long as, say, Food Bash (which was made to promote a Chef Boyardee sweepstakes and not advertised in any known commercial for it, either.)

Good and bad news: Turns out I was wrong. I must've glossed over things looking at March-April captures— There are a few pages associated with the sweepstakes that were archived after it had already ended! There's a Flash file that doesn't load. It was named 'emailSoakers.swf'. That had to be the online entry form for the sweepstakes, ie. you'd put in your email address and maybe an animation would play. That, or perhaps there was a mini-game you could play before or after entering? That's all I got. I went on the Super Soaker website and didn't find anything either. Maybe I'm missing something.

The promotional period for the sweepstakes was April 15-22. That's what the rules page states. Turns out the date on the commercial compilation that the found promo came from was also wrong. It was taken during the Courage Monstervision Marathon, which the uploader claimed was March 2. That marathon actually aired on April 20. I found further proof of the sweepstakes running for only a week on an old ToonZone forum thread. EEnE fans talked about the commercial on April 17th, most not being familiar with it until seeing the thread, one person even saying they saw it on the 16th:

No mention of the CN website or a game in said thread. Unfortunately, yes, it seems we've still hit a dead end. One thing I thought about when writing my first reply was that the description of freezing Edd in a block of ice sounded similar to the CCF Flash game Bean-Bag-Tag. Other than that, there's no similarities to what your brother remembered at all. That game was just CN characters playing freeze tag together.

I'll update if I find anything else or anything he could've been confusing the game for. I've been looking around on old fansites and such.
