An obscure stop-motion adaptation of Tortoise and the Hare?

I remembered part of this movie (which was a bizarre stop-motion film) when I was young, where the tortoise races against the hare as usually, but for some reason, the hare was living in a weird sea creature living in a barrel of some kind that ate the two characters whose names I can't remember, and the movie cuts to the pig in a rabbit suit who just looks at the distant race before screaming at the camera, and the last thing I remembered about this film was the hare singing to the camera and the two unknown characters.
