Bird & Squirrel Cartoon Network Pilot

After hearing the news of Coyote vs Acme's fate, I thought I'd share another project that was killed by a Warner merger. This was an 8 minute short for Cartoon Network by James Burks based upon his "Bird & Squirrel" graphic novels. Unlike most pilots, this was actually picked up for three 44-minute specials. But then the AT&T merger happened and that project got dumped. It was shown for a limited time at a couple virtual film festivals and I was lucky enough to capture it then.
