so i found something interesting and odd, through my travels through the wiki rabbit hole i found a listing for an thing called "talking about the weather" from 1994, starring, Joan Jett? i tried to google search it to see what i could find but the only thing that came up was a very limited imbd page, apperntly its an 11 minute short, i dont know what its about, but the one image on the imbd page seems to me like two guys, ready to make love or something lol its weird, see for yourself:
Also here's another website where I found the URL, I don't know if it is the same festival but it says that it is a festival of "independent cinema" so I guess it is?

I also took a quick look at the IMBd pages of the rest of the people involved in this short. I quickly googled Carl Forest Sandler (writer and director) but I didn't get any matches, not on the first results at least (like I said this was only a quick search), as for his IMBd page, he's only credited for Talking About the Weather. Besides Joan Jett, 2 other actors are credited for this, Nancy Kates and Rikaard Dam Olafsson, and, just as Sandler's IMBd page, they're only credited for Talking About the Weather, there isn't even a picture of Olafsson

Ok so I just did a little more research on these three people:
Nancy Kates seems to be quite a personality, acording to her wikipedia page, she's an independent filmmaker, not only an actress, and she's been awarded several times since 1993, so it seems that her IMBd page (at least the one featured on the Talking About the Weather page) isn't accurate at all. Oddly enough, there is no mention of Talking About the Weather nor Carl Forest Sandler
Rikaard Dam Olafsson didn't have any results either, just a bunch of random stuff
As for Carl Forest Sandler, I decided to put his name on google one more time, and I found an article about him in some movie festival website (not the Film Arts Festival though), and everything it says is "Carl Forest Sandler studied economics in California and worked until his début as assistant editor, scriptwriter and producer." and that's it, the only film listed in his filmography is, you guessed it, Talking About the Weather. I'll leave all the relevant URLs for you to check them out, maybe you'll spot something that I didn't notice

Who knows?, but if that's the case, how did Joan Jett, THE Joan Jett ended up in it if it was just some random independent 11 minutes short movie for some forgotten independent movie festival?

Still nothing on this Film Arts Festival. I read a few movie festivals lists and there isn't even a mention of it. With that said, I found Talking About the Weather listed on a list of films released in 1994 among 883 other results, which includes movies like Pulp Finction and The Mask, so is not just a bunch of random movies copilated by some dude, so at least we know that (apparently) it was actually made, so it exists. I also found another IMBd page about the movie, like always, it only has information about who directed it (Sandler) and the cast (Jett, Kates and that other dude), however, it also says that the film was developed on the US, which makes sense being that Sandler apparently lives in California (or at least he did at that time), judging by the extremely brief biography I found earlier, which says that he studied in California, We know that Kates was still studying at the Standford University at that time, which is also located in California, Now, I don't know if Jett was residing in or near California at the time, however I took a quick look at her biography and it seems that she has set foot in California several times, so it wouldn't be too wild to guess that she was living there, or at least passing by at that moment (since it's just an 11 minutes short it probably was relatively quick to make). This also gives us a clue on where this Film Arts Festival took place, so we could start searching film festivals from California?, since the lists I researched earlier were a bit more general (like "film festivals from europe", "film festivals from north and central america", etc)

I forgot to mention that I also searched that dudes making love pic from the IMBd page on google and I had no matches, also here are the relevant links I found:
(Is interesting to mention that, out of 884 movies, Talking About the Weather is on the position number 834 in popularity, so it was definitely seen by someone)
Still nothing on the actual plot of the short, but nice to know it actually existed in full form, someone saw it, there's a chance what ever it is its out there somewhere!

So I decided to check other movie databases besides IMBd to try and get more information about Talking About the Weather, like more members of the crew, exact locations, and so on, and guess what? I hit the jackpot!.. Sort of
I found this russian website called my-hit.org, and they also have a page for Talking About the Weather, just as the IMBd one it's pretty limited, but it has a tiny bit more of information about its crew
It lists two more people who aren't mentioned on the IMBd page: the first one being some russian dude called Andrew Blair (Эндрю Блэр) as the operator)?, since this is a russian fella is really hard to find information about him, since, you know, google translations aren't exactly good, however, fot what I could gather, his first work (as an actor) was in some 1987 mini series called Diary of Anne Frank, and his last work (as an operator) was in some 2013 documentary (I believe) called Islands of Sanctuary. I searched for his name on IMBd and I only got 2 matches, one was some actor who doesn't seem to be our guy, and the other one was another seemingly unrelated actor, however, according to his my-hit filmography page. he has worked on 5 films as an actor, and 17 movies as an operator (I don't know if I'm getting the "operator" part correctly, again, google translations aren't good), being the most recent one Islands of Sanctuary, and the first one Talking About the Weather. Oddly, Diary of Anne Frank has an IMBd page, but Blair isn't credited on it. Since this is a russian dude it might be difficult to get more accurate information about him, so I'll keep investigating him later
As for the second member of the crew, his name is David E. Johnston, and he is listed as the composer. His my-hit page has literally no more information other than his name and a link to his filmography, which only credits him for Talking About the Weather, however, unlike Andrew Blair, he does have an IMBd page, and he's credited for 3 works: a short called Lifesaver where he worked as writer, composer, actor and director, a 1993 short called Lush Life (not to be confused with the movie of the same name and year starring Jeff Goldblum), and, of course, Talking About the Weather. Lifesaver has an IMBd page but no information on it, and a quick google search only matched me with some life savers comercial (you know, the candies) and he isn't credited as the director, so I don't think that's what we're looking for Is hard to find information about Lush Life because, again, a bigger movie of the same name was released on the same year, however, Johnston's Lush Life also has an IMBd page, it contains a few details about the film, like the cast members and even its budget, however the most interesting part is its storyline, which contains a short review that says: "Dennis Conroy and David E. Johnston's beautifully shot Lush Life is a representation of voyeurism, sad-masochistic fantasy and masturbatory hallucinations. - festival program" so... yeah, that's... interesting...
This Johnston guy seems to be a bit more famous, so I guess I'll research him a little more later, since I'd like to confirm his participation in Talking About the Weather, as well as the russian guy. And as always here are the relevant links:
