It seems as though lost and unidentified songs have become a major topic in the lost media community for the past year or so, so this would probably be a good time for me to bring up a song that I heard years ago but cannot find anywhere now.
At around the turn of the previous decade, there was a shortish period in which I had a relatively strong interest in classic Nickelodeon cartoons and the history of Nickelodeon. I estimate that this went from 2009 to 2013, which would be when I encountered the music in question. The music was used in the background of a YouTube video that was about Nickelodeon Studios. I can't exactly remember whether the video showed the history of Nick Studios in chronological order with photos, or was just an unordered compilation of photos from throughout the time when Nick Studios was operating. I am relatively confident that the video's content was entirely text and old photographs, without any other videos within the video.
As for the song itself, I do not know how to describe music well, but I will try my hardest. It was a slow-paced rock song, and I can't remember hearing the sound of any of the instruments that were used within, other than guitar. It was sung by either one or two guys with US accents; I don't think that they sounded like they were from a specific state. The song had a sad tone, but I can hardly remember any of the lyrics now. The ones that I can remember were as follows, and did not go in this exact order:
"Don't you dare... Don't you dare..."
"And I do... Yes, I do..."
"Don't you dare..." (with "dare" drawn out for about five seconds, and slightly increasing in tone)
Of the old videos about Nickelodeon Studios that I can find, I believe that the one below is most similar to the video that I saw that included the music that I am searching for. I suspect that the video in question that I saw was of a similar length to this one. But the below video uses completely different music from the track that I am looking for, so this cannot be the exact video that I saw all of those years ago.
If the track that I described sounds familiar to anyone here, then your help would be greatly appreciated.
One more, possibly very important, thing that I should note: I am ∞% sure that the music that I am looking for is NOT "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds. As much as I love that song, it is not what I am currently looking for, so please don't suggest it!
