one show that caught my eye in the compilation was a very weird show with live action faces on birds, it reminded me a lot of cartoon network's "Mad" the cartoon series, it is a sketch comedy show called "Punch" that parodies media, and the show business, i have never seen this show in my life ever, but i decided to do some research and i came up with next to nothing, there is a YouTube clip of the same clip shown in that compilation vid of the birds, although it is not in English;
there is also a wiki page on it with very little info of it, however it claims that "the series airs from time to time on teletoon at night" i have never seen it, ever. here is the article;
past that this is all the info i found of this weird series it looks interesting, searching "punch teletoon show full episodes" online top result took me to a Korean live action show called punch.
upon further searching i found more clips from the show although not the best quality and they are still in french instead of english, from a channel called;
ooh boy, I was surprised to see this name pop-up because I actually saw some of this back when it aired. Overal it was pretty bad with an handful of good skits.
This was actually made in French first and then dubbed in English. The producer Yves St-Gelais also work son Et Dieu créa... Laflaque (a CG new parody show that still airs to this day on CBC's french counterpart) and the show's press release and the defunct production company's website are written in pretty thick Frenglish.
I can't be arsed to round them all up now but you can find more clips from the French version of the show by punching-in "Punch Teletoon" and looking at the related videos.

it was bad? i just found it really interesting considering it looks almost EXACTLY like cartoon network's "Mad" that premiered only 2 years later in 2010:0

Mostly it was really uneven. I can't speak with too much authority because it's been a long time since it was on the air and I didn'T watch that much of it, but mostly, some skits were really good and the framing device (A bunch of people working at a media magazine and getting into wacky hijinks. It was animated in the same style as the skits. I don't remember anything about the characters and plots) was like, ok, but many of the skits relied excessively on base vulgarity and shallow reference humour. Kind of like those Seltzer and Friedberg "parody" movies.
I'm curious to see how the English dub was handled, because the original French version has a *lot* of very topical and very regional references to the Québec star system and culture. For example, one of the best skit is a parody of Ramdam, a teen drama that is completely unknown outside Québec.

that would explaine why i have never seen it then, sounds like a mostly regional show
Still curious as to what the show is like and how much like CN's "Mad" cartoon it was. Like just how much of the show's style was lifted to mad? The art style is pretty much identical!
