When I was a kid, I thought the line from the song "I'm Coming Out": "There's a new me coming out" was "There's a movie coming out". I also thought some non-profane lines from some songs were actually profane before I ended up learning the truth.
The first time I saw The Golden Girls TV show, I heard "Thank You For Being A Friend" I misheard these lines:
And if you threw a party Invited everyone you knew Well, you would see the biggest gift would be from me And the card attached would say Thank you for being a friend
I heard the lines as:
And if you threw a heartache Invited everyone you knew Well, you would see the biggest gift would be from me And the heart attacks would say Thank you for being a friend
I assumed the reason why they chose this as the theme song was that, the woman were older and more prone to heart attacks or something, which looking back on it, is rather morbid. Never realised for years that those were NOT the lyrics!
In The Flintstones TV theme, I just realised yesterday that I had one of the lines completely wrong. The actual lyrics are:
Let's ride with the family down the street Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet
I always thought it was:
That's right with the family down the street Through the courtesy a friend to meet
Also one more theme tune, this time The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. When I was a chikd in the 90s, I misheard these lines:
Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin', all cool And all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school
I heard them as:
Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin', all cool And all shootin' some meatball outside of the school
These lines:
I whistled for a cab and when it came near The license plate said, "Fresh" and it had dice in the mirror
I misheard as:
I whistled for a cab and when it came near The license plate said, "Fresh" and it had dice in a mere
And I misheard this line
I pulled up to the house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo holmes, smell ya later"
I heard:
I pulled up to the house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabbage, "Yo holmes, smell ya later"

When I was little, I thought the lyric "I feel it in my bones, enough to make my systems blow" from "Radioactive" by imagine dragons was "I feel it in my bones, don't you make my sister grow" 💀💀. What was I thinking 🤣.
Many people thought it was " I feel it in my bones, enough to make my sister moan!" Yeah...
Zarbon, Dodoria, CUT HIS BALLS OFF (in frieza voice)
When i was little, i thought the part of the Roary the racing car theme song: "At the silver hatch, in his little white cap" was "At the silver hatch, shit is little white cap" I still hear it somehow
In Michael Jackson's song "Beat It" I always mishear this line, even knowing the right lyrics and trying to hear them properly, I still hear this line wrong.
Actual lyrics:
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
What I always hear (pronounce fike-e like mike e):
I used to think this theme song said "You better count on Cory!" apparently it's saying "you better calm down Cory!". I like my version better, makes more sense with the white house/presidential theme of the show.
The Lolipop song from Bluey goes like: "Lolipop, Lolipop, Yum Yum Yum Yum" but i thought it went like: "Party cat, Party cat, Meow, Meow, Meow Meow" witch dosen't make sense because there's just a couple of times where cats are seen in bluey, all of those times not real

Fun fact-
The guy who sang the Orginal version of thank you for being a friend (Andrew Gold) sang spooky scary skeletons. (May he rest in peace)
For the longest time I thought the lyrics to the chorus of Fallout boy's we're going down down we're: We're going faster! Dee dee do de da la! Sugar we're going down swinging! I'll be your number 1 giant hogey! Louie just got back, let's begin the party! Instead of what it actually was. Thought in my defense, Fallout Boy around one of those bands that are notoriously hard to understand what they are saying. Just listen to some of their stuff.
In "what a feeling" by One Direction, instead of "You got stars in your eyes" I heard "You got stars in your ass" until my friend corrected me, im such an idiot
