Misheard Lyrics

The first time I saw The Golden Girls TV show, I heard "Thank You For Being A Friend" I misheard these lines:

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
Well, you would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
Thank you for being a friend

I heard the lines as:

And if you threw a heartache
Invited everyone you knew
Well, you would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the heart attacks would say
Thank you for being a friend

I assumed the reason why they chose this as the theme song was that, the woman were older and more prone to heart attacks or something, which looking back on it, is rather morbid. Never realised for years that those were NOT the lyrics!

In The Flintstones TV theme, I just realised yesterday that I had one of the lines completely wrong. The actual lyrics are:

Let's ride with the family down the street
Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet

I always thought it was:

That's right with the family down the street
Through the courtesy a friend to meet

Also one more theme tune, this time The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. When I was a chikd in the 90s, I misheard these lines:

Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin', all cool
And all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school

I heard them as:

Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin', all cool
And all shootin' some meatball outside of the school

These lines:

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said, "Fresh" and it had dice in the mirror

I misheard as:

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said, "Fresh" and it had dice in a mere

And I misheard this line

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo holmes, smell ya later"

I heard:

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbage, "Yo holmes, smell ya later"

Many people thought it was " I feel it in my bones, enough to make my sister moan!" Yeah... 

In Michael Jackson's song "Beat It" I always mishear this line, even knowing the right lyrics and trying to hear them properly, I still hear this line wrong.

Actual lyrics:

What I always hear (pronounce fike-e like mike e):

Show me hot fike-e and strong is your fight

Or I hear

Show me hot f**ckie strong is your fight

I heard the song like: "Carry pie, Carry pie"

Speaking of Poker Face, I always misheard the line "I'll get him hot, show him what I got" as "I'll get him hard, show him what I guard"

Fun fact-

The guy who sang the Orginal version of thank you for being a friend (Andrew Gold) sang spooky scary skeletons. (May he rest in peace)

I always thought that the words "let's begin" from a line from Wild Ones was "less spaghetti".
