The One About a Making Rectangles (Computer Game)

I'm trying to remember the name of an early 1980s home computer game (PC).
The playing field was a grid. Connected to each grid point was a line, which spanned the space between any two grid points. You played a character who walked among the grid points. When the character encountered a line, it pushed the line out of its way. By walking left, right, up, and down, you could flip the lines. The point of the game was to flip lines so that you formed enclosed rectangles. And maybe squares?
I think the point of the game was to make as many 2x8* rectangles. My memory is that when your character made a rectangle, it turned a particular color, displayed a smiling face, or both. Or something.
However, there were enemies out there. There was some type of sprite running amok within the grid. Just as you were ready to complete your 2x8 rectangle, here comes the sprite, bumping into lines and prompting you to go back and flip them to your advantage.
Here is really the only part of the game I remember. If the main character was quick enough, you could entrap the sprite within your 2x8 rectangle. If you did, the large rectangle displayed a distinct frowning face. The best I can compare this face to is the Mr. Yuk sticker. By having the sprite encased in a rectangle, the playable character could make more rectangles without distractions. However, the sprite would eventually escape from his rectangle and be free to roam around and complicate your gameplay.
My memory is the game did not have a lot of color, though the frowning face rectangle may have been yellow or green.
