I can't remember this game for the life of me. I can barely remember any of the details except a rumor about the game that the ending was going to be much darker than it originally was.
The darker ending was going to happen when the main character was being attacked by fighter aircraft while hanging onto a plank. Normally, the main character survives the barrage, and the game ends later on. In the rumored ending, however, the scene would have ended with the main character getting hit by the barrage, with his head sprite exploding. This rumor ended up being real, and the sprites were found in the game files.
Based on the graphics, it looked like this game was made in the late 80s to early 90s. It was made for an adult audience, too.
