Hello, I've been looking for this for a couple of weeks now. I can guarantee that it wasn't a dream or something I made up, seeing as both me and my friend remember this specific video and game, and between us, we have compiled a list of details we remember.
It was a playthrough of a demo for an indie horror game, unknown youtube video and game, probably saw it sometime between 2015-2019 but cant say when the video was posted or the demo was made. People have recommended that it might be P.T. or MADiSON but we can both confirm that they are not what we are looking for.
The game was first person, I doubt there was an inventory mechanic seeing as it was a short demo and I'm not sure about the soundtrack since whoever was playing the game either had it turned down and was talking over it, had it turned off or there just wasn't any music.
Graphics were 3d, quality unknown. Here are the details we both remember about the setting:
Tall red room with stairs with red carpet.
fancy gilded lights( probably candle sconces) and a chandelier, 2 sets of stairs with a landing in the middle with wooden railings probably with golden ball railing ends.
Middle landing was decorated with a long side table with, I think, a candelabra on it (maybe some books too? Im not sure). Walls also had tall windows that were really high up on the wall and maybe held some paintings? I'm not sure.
There were 3 doors at the top landing of the stairs and 1 door at the bottom which led to one of the doors at the top in a loop. It looped continuously until every so often you would get a long dimly lit hallway where you would sometimes get chased by a ghost woman in white. The loop was leading up to something but I'm not sure if the game was ever finished or released.
2 of the doors at the top were locked most likely because they were not finished yet or just weren't included in the demo.
When the demo was over the camera would move out of the room and into the void outside of the map, looking into the room. There could have been some text but if there was I don't remember.( possibly a “thank you for playing this demo” message?) I don't remember any commentary from the youtuber or if there was a facecam but mostly concerned with finding the demo game itself.
Sorry for the long post, I figured any detail would be helpful.
