I already mentioned this in an another thread, but back when I was around 4, among the many games that my parents bought for the Wii like New Super Mario Bros, Smash Bros, and the Wii Sports games, there was one game that I know we had but only ever played once.
For some reason, I can't remember the name of it for the life of me, but I know it had a physical copy that I held in my very hand. I saw both the front and back of it.
It was some sort of Match 3 puzzle game that revolved around the premise of Mushrooms in space. There were good mushrooms that were orange and blue in the color of their caps. They looked a bit like the Super Mario power up mushrooms except they were longer and skinnier. Their eyes were also in the exaggerated white dots that a toadstool mushroom might have. Alongside them, were seemingly evil mushrooms that looked like red eyed cyborg mushrooms. They had no patterns in their caps like the good mushrooms, but their eyes were still on there. The thing that indicated to me that they were cyborgs was the fact that they had pieces of scrap metal sticking out of them. Their main bodies were greyish-brownish color overall.
It is to my assumption based on what I remember of the back box art and the small amount of genuine gameplay I saw alongside other people(I'll get to this later.) is that you have to match the good mushrooms to get points and matching the bad mushrooms will make you lose points.
In game, there were only three screens that I remember. The main menu, the gameplay segment, and the game over screen.
The main menu featured a bunch of mushrooms, with the orange mushroom as the central figure, hopping on a planet that looked like earth under the game's title.
In the gameplay segment, it was exactly as I described it. The background was a drawn depiction of the night sky/space. The mushrooms were stored in a grid made up of transparent boxes.
The game over screen was just the average black screen with text in front of it. Bear in mind, the message did not say "Game Over." It was a unique message made for this game. It had this [...] at the end of it. Its font was in cursive.
The games overall style was in 2D. That I can say for sure.
The one time I saw any of this gameplay was during a gathering being held at my grandma's house. Many other Wii games were being played at the time. The one game I specifically remember being played at the time alongside this one was New Super Mario Bros Wii. Specifically, I remember the people at the gathering quitting Mario once they reached the first world's castle level.
It must of not been that interesting of a game since they stopped playing it after losing once.
Regardless, this game has been racking my mind ever since it suddenly disappeared. It may have been sold. If anyone knows anything of a game like this or even remembers owning this game as well, please let me know.
