Unidentified manga panels from old Vogue Nippon issue

It's not impossible, but I feel like Yoshiyuki Sadamoto usually draws the iris/pupil a little smaller than that? The hair does look similar from what's visible, though.

I have several things to say, more importantly: You purchased the issue? That means that you can make a higher quality scan with your phone! There's text on the panels that when translated could definitely help us. Less importantly, I just noticed another character below the "Misato-lookalike", kinda debunks my initial assumption tho, I thought it was Gendo (another character from Evangelion) but this character lacks a beard, and looks more similar to Guts from Berserk (tbh I don't know a lot of Manga lol). Its possible that these panels could be an amalgamation of different manga put together. Also about that Tumblr post, it could be a katsura manga but the eyes look more detailed than our subject, tho that could be due to the low quality, if you actually have it in your hands, once again it's definitely encouraged for you to take a picture.

Not sure, I doubt the series is any older than late 90s? I guess that's kind of subjective, but that's just what I would assume based on art-style tends... It's hard to even guess what demographic it's aimed at, or what genre it is.

Not sure how much this helps but I attempted to "restore" the panels and filled in some of the blanks since there's not much else I could do at this point.

Hey I realized that in the first post of this thread you said this was no later than November 2006 but in a reply you stated that this issue is from May 2007? Were you mistaken?
