I think it's best if we just follow co's advice and get back on topic.

I just saw a video on Youtube for lost horror stuff and heard about the original version of Child's Play which was 25 minutes longer with a longer beginning, Chucky's death scene being more violent and craziest of all Chucky was originally voiced by a woman(changed to Brad Douriff as they felt the female voice wasn't funny enough).

I’ve heard of that. I really hope it gets found soon, I’d love to see the extended opening.

Another one I just heard of is from the 2017 IT film, apparently there was originally a prologue in 1637 where a baby gets eaten, the director talked about maybe including it a directors cut but it never happened.

Also i've been wanting to see the original version of the 2002 Ahnuld film "Collateral Damage" for ages as it was one of several movies that got delayed due to 9/11, apparently there was an airplane hijacking at the beginning cut along with scenes that were deemed "unpatriotic", whatever those scenes were i'd like to know. Spy Games was another film that got edited down to remove scenes reminiscent of 9/11(I.E. shots of smoke so people wouldn't think of ground zero)and the 2002 Time Machine remake had one scene either cut after being filmed or not filmed at all(a scene in the future of pieces of the moon crashing into a skyscraper)I'm not 100% sure which one.

I believe the first cut of the 2017 IT film was 3 hours. I heard they were planning on making a super cut tat combined both movies and added deleted and extended scenes into both parts, but to be honest, I would rather just simply get an extended cut of both movies separately.

I heard that was what happened to Kill Bill overseas in places like Japan where both parts were combined together(and that one scene where The Bride massacres all of the Yakuza was in color instead of black and white like it is in the U.S. version).

Yes that version is called Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, don't know if it has the uncut Yakuza scene though(I saw that on Youtube but don't know if it's still there).

Nope it's a whole different release and my mistake turns out it didn't get a home video release in the US, just a few screenings from Tarantino, but apparently you can get it from China: www.ebay.com/itm/404542525017

Here's another example I mentioned elsewhere-the 1995 teen drama film "Angus" originally had a subplot with the title characters father being gay but after one audience member in a test screening shouted a homophobic slur the studio decided to remove the subplot, even the extended TV version does not have it.

That’s just stupid. Hopefully it gets released someday. That test audience member was just out for blood that day, not that I’m trying to compliment him for shouting the alternative f-bomb (F*ggot is what I’m assuming the slur was), but with this kind of behavior, you’d swear a gay dude shat in his mailbox or something.

I feel like a bit of an outsider skimming this because I'm over here thinking about more niche content, not big budget studio stuff for the most part.

I'd like to hope at some point we get a new update as to how things are going for the original cut of Event Horizon because I'd love to see that. The same can be said for the fabled "Blue Man" scene from Children of the Corn (1984) that was cut for runtime purposes. It's a shame too because on a COTC fan site, they managed to find the actor who played the character and he spoke about how he got a call from the director and was told about the situation. It's been almost 40 years and it still hasn't been included on any home video releases. I had a booklet with my DVD back in the 2000s and I don't think it included the surviving production stills from the scene either, but it would be rad if it did.

To get more distant and underground, it would be anything related to Toe Tag Pictures / Toe Tag Inc. I need to do some serious brushing up to see if anything changed or I've just been in the dark too long. With the release of August Underground I have, Fred Vogel said in the director's commentary for either the film or the making of documentary that, IIRC, the original masters for the film were lost for a while - but I think they were found. The series has some alternate takes, but they aren't too special or noteworthy from what a friend told me when I brought it up to him. One thing I remember hearing as well is that there's some SFX shots TTP/TTI did for Murder-Set-Pieces that weren't used and might be lost now - unless they were included in the director's cut or uncut version of the film, which is long OOP now. I don't know if Fred or anyone from his team (like Jeremi Cruise who is his SFX partner and Cristie Whiles who did photography work while also starring in the AU trilogy) has anything from those days since it's been 20 years now.

As much as I would love to see the original, canon cut of event horizon, it’s extremely unlikely to be found at this point, and even if it is, that footage is probably wrecked and unusable. Even if a pristine (or at least decent quality) print does still exist, paramount probably doesn’t give a rats ass about the film anymore, because to them, it was just some stupid sci-fi blockbuster that barely managed to break even at the box office. It was not a summer movie, and had Paul Wes Anderson realized that beforehand (not saying it’s his fault), maybe things could have been different.

Also, I’ve never heard of the “August underground” movie (or the deleted scenes for that matter), or the blue man scene from the children of the corn. Please tell me more if possible.
