last night i dreamed about some 80's style cartoon that doesn't even exist that was about some animal characters and their shenanigans, and while i really don't remember anything about it other than some bear characters and an aggressive gun chase during a rainstorm, I do remember people asking me what was my favourite cartoon growing up, and i always wanted to respond with the name of this cartoon, but i had forgotten the name, and whenever i would try to respond to them with the plot of the cartoon they would always give me a weird/concerned look...
I always have dreams with stories that don't exist like one with a kids book that doesn't exist about a couple in china who owned a shop. the only color in the illustrations was blue and the only drawing I remember was a man sweeping.

that's really odd, about a year ago, I had a dream that a former Cartoon Network animator moved in down the street from where I live, and I decided to go meet him, and when he told me he was a CN animator, he told me about this cartoon he worked on that never got greenlit titled "Jake and the Gang" he said he was lead animation director for that project, the reason it got canned was because it was too similar to something on PBS kids, and that he still had reels of the Five Episodes that got made, and, so, I asked him how much it would cost to digitize them, since they were literal REEL tapes from 2005... He said it's cost about 150 to 200 dollars, and so I gave him 200 in 50 bills, and he agreed to get them digitized... so about 19 minutes later, he invites me over to see something, and it was a box, about the size of one a fridge come in, FULL of Jake and the Gang reels... so he told me "if you want the full series, you'd be better off buying these tapes, or borrowing them, and getting digitizations done yourself..."* * I made this up in post And so anyway, digitization later... I got the files back and the show was about a blue anthropomorphic dog named Jake with his friend, who was also a dog, but he was tan. Anyway, the show involved calling in, and wishing for something, like for example "My name is Eli, I'm 10, and I've always wanted to play guitar" and if you were lucky, you could end up on the show.
