Back in 2007, online-sweepstakes.com had some copy-righted and j-command program games, and it was the best collected in one place I’d ever seen. About the first game you’d see (this was before Angry Birds) was a penguin on a see-saw of ice you’d operate with your mouse and bounce to the highest point off walrus noses. The highest score from that era before it’s shutdown was a “FishBulb” in reference to Homer Simpson’s Japan detergent image, with the users quotes coming from “Well there’s your answer FishBulb!”
There was also a fun bowling game when you got a strike by stopping mouse on yellow meter and James Brown “Yow! I feel good!” Ensued. A Tetris-like block game where I got close to champion with 900,000 lines.
I championed on two, PacMan and Asteroids with my name Filmo. It was a good leaderboard in that section of cyberspace and I wonder if it’s stats and history is out there or deleted permanently. And if it could still work! Mr Peabody’s WayBack Machine didn’t work for me. Is it archived or lost? I was friends with a ‘Hoops”. Far from world champ of course, but I had something like 260,000 on PacMan. Don’t know if it glitched after level 27 but it was the original.

This sounds fascinating. Do you have any tangible proof to its existence?

My emails from it appear long-gone, would’ve linked to 404 error. The sub-site of it all was “online-sweepstakes.com/forums”. Don’t forget hyphen. I didn’t bother with the homepage a lot just loved that arcade. Traces of it seem to have been ripped from the World Wide Web. They went down in 2020 but exist in peoples memory. Maybe if another member has an old email notification?
It reminds me of Twilight Zone episode when astronauts leave circle of earth for edge of space, come back to earth and doubt their existence. One by one they vanish, with one remaining. He pleads with nurse at recovery hospital to remember him and his fellow astronauts. Camera spins around and she keeps walking down hallway like no one was just talking to her. “Please remember I exist!” Others had said “Something didn’t want us to come back.” Erased from history.
Someone could search CompletePlanet.com. Or delve more into Archive. I get easily overwhelmed so brought it up here. Much thanks.
