This is one of my most sought after pieces of lost media. This is a record that doesn't have any documentation. Nothing, not even a Discogs page or an artist. All that is known is the tracklist and some tidbits of information.
The tracklist is as follows:
A1 - Sea Pieces No. 3: A.D. 1620 by Edward MacDowell
A2 - Sea Pieces No. 4: Starlight by Edward MacDowell
A3 - Woodland Sketches No. 1: To A Wild Rose by Edward MacDowell
A4 - Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach
A5 - Unknown Melody
B1 - Prelude and Fugue in E Minor by Bach
B2 - A Song of Sunshine by Alfred Hollins
B3 - Suite Gothique: Priere a Notre Dame by Léon Boëllmann
B4 - Suite Gothique: Toccata by Léon Boëllmann
What is known about the record:
- It is white label and probably pressed from the 1950s-1970s
- The record was purchased from a now defunct store called the78exchange in England. This purchase was before at least 2001.
- The only thing that proves this records existence is the fact it's entirety (as well as another lost record) was sampled on a 2xLP release called "Deleted scenes / Forgotten dreams".
- Most of A side consists of compositions for piano, whereas B side is mainly pieces for organ.
Link to Deleted scenes forgotten dreams, the album where this record was sampled. This specific record was used for Part 1 and Part 2. Part 3 and Part 4 sample a different lost record. Note that this is not clean audio - it is drenched in reverb and also reversed unfortunately.
Please don't bug the artist for audio of this record. They currently reside in Poland and their records are in the UK so they cannot transfer it
(Terribly sorry if I have made newbie mistakes in this post.)
