I inherited a big box of original concept art, cels, and reproductions from my neighbor who died last month. Her father was an animator during WWII until his death in the 90s. She wanted me to have it because I teach primary school art. Most of the original stuff is identified and from "David the Gnome" and Felix the Cat. However, there are some reproductions and stuff for ads that I can't place, but I think some are reproductions of Disney storyboard sketches from the 40s and on.
Any Disney experts out there who know about the animations?
Here are some pics of the unidentified sketch art:
Is it from Disney Peter Pan? Someone on Imgur is pretty sure it is, which is very exciting. Piecing together it looks like "mama seagull" makes a nest in Capt. Hook's blankets while sleeping and lays an egg on Hook's head. I don't remember this in the final movie, but I haven't seen it in decades. Might be a deleted scene, if it's Disney at all.
If you recognize, thank you for advance! Will post others soon.

Very cool! I think I recognize the above art. Looks like your hunch is right and its a scene from Disney Peter Pan, the one where Hook is hiding from the crocodile in a bunch of blankets. I think it plays out differently in the final movie.
You say these are reproductions and not original art? Do you know the animator's name?
Ok well sorry for the long wait. I did check with Andreas blog but he didn't respond. How ever he did have a post on there about Captain Hook and his assistant Mr Smee and these might be from some scene.
So maybe it is Captain Hook from Peter Pan or maybe the seagull is from a different cartoon.
Ok, I saw this months ago and recognized but never posted because I didn't have an account but thought someone else would answer.
senshisun-- the bird in the book is the Never bird who gives Peter her nest so Peter doesn't drown. THat's not in the Disney cartoon.
However the seagull in these concept sketches is in the final film. I don't own the movie and haven't seen it for like 10 years or more, but I remember a scene where Captain Hook is getting the spa treatment to relax and has a towel wrapped around his head. The seagull flies by and uses the towel for her nest, and she settles in.
It's been a long time so I barely remember, but Hook's head eventually pops through her "nest" and scares her away. That explains the "pretty surprised!" sketch and the last sketch with Hook's surprised head.
I'm sure someone else remembers this and can confirm it in the final film...
