Hi guys, speaking of lost media, there's something I remember from likely the early 2010s if I remember correctly... It's the lost Newgrounds audio visualisations from 2010s, maybe they also existed in 2000s as well, but I don't remember using Newgrounds in 2000s, I'm born in 2005. Does anyone have any information about lost visualisations Newgrounds had when you listen to music from that website? Thanks for helping.
i actually hadnt known about these until now, so i checked archive.org and you were correct! they did exist around 2006-7 - early 2010s. unfortunately when i downloaded the swf for the audio player it was just a grey screen, and pre-2012 the music will not play and some old visualizers dont show up, but if you go to an archive of an audio portal submission from after that then you can still view them. but if you have flash or ruffle you can see them here

Thanks, but when I downloaded the Ruffle extension on Microsoft Edge, it gives me an error...
oh. ruffle is still in development, so it isnt a perfect replacement for flash and has some issues. i actually hadnt tried running the page in ruffle before commenting since i usually use flash 32 + palemoon browser to run flash content and just assumed that ruffle would work for it, so that was my mistake. i have a theory for it not working but i dont know how to explain it, something about how i already mentioned the swf being a black screen when i downloaded it and the same thing happening to ruffle. maybe i could try to record a video of the visualizers or something like that later.
