I remember playing a video game where your objective is to help save an alien rainforest by performing several tasks such as sorting wires. This was during the late 2000s, and the graphics looked pretty rudimentary. I found it to be hard and could never get very far into it, but that's probably because I was quite young at the time.
Not sure if this is relevant, but it was installed on all of the laptops in my primary school, so clearly you were able to buy a multi-PC license for it at one point. I live (and grew up in) the UK so I'm curious as to whether it was present in other British schools.
Edit: It might be The Crystal Rain Forest, but I specifically remember there being a wire-sorting minigame, which this one doesn't seem to have from the playthroughs I looked at.

This sounds really familiar think I might have played it in school back in the early 2000s but I can’t remember though a game came to mind when you mentioned that could it be the pc game from the early 2000s late 90s called Treasure planet I think their might have been an alien rain forest in that game but I could be wrong.
