An unofficial home port was made for the Cassette Vision console in Japan, under the name Kikori no Yosaku (which roughly translates to "Woodcutter Yosaku," according to things I've seen online thus far), that is considerably more known there and readily available for purchase on places like eBay, though I didn't find any ROMs of that version in my fairly quick search. There is also another unofficial copy of that version that is both available for physical purchase and as a downloadable ROM on various ROM sites, made for the Sharp X68000 computer system as well. And SNK, the creators of the original arcade title, remade it as a hidden bonus minigame in the Neo Geo Pocket Color game King Of Fighters: Battle de Paradise, if you play the game either on a NGPC in black & white mode, or play it in an original Neo Geo Pocket. There's also an 8-bit fan-made version of it that, in and of itself, is a remake of another 8-bit fan version that seems to also be lost media that's available on RomHacking.net. So, there's plenty of ways to play other versions of the game, just unfortunately not the original arcade; apparently no one knows if even an arcade board of it still exists anywhere, much less a full cabinet.
And here's a page with some info about the arcade:
I know you're only talking to keep the silence out Maybe you should listen and leave some room for doubt You're just handing out bad reputations Why don't you shut your mouth? -Motorhead, "Overnight Sensation"
I just watched a Jeremy Parish video that talked about this to some length (specifically the video is about the Cassette Vision ripoff that Epoch released). I wonder if SNK themselves have any likelihood of rereleasing it of their own accord.

I'd imagine that, considering the Cassette Vision version was way more popular than the original arcade, according to everything I've read, on top of the fact that it's virtually an unknown game in any capacity here in the west, which is the biggest video game market, SNK probably has no real incentive to ever do a stand-alone rerelease of the game in any form. There's also a possibility the company doesn't even have an original board, considering how rare they are and, in general, how little most media companies cared about preserving assets like that, especially at the time.

Another clone of this game exists made by Sancho for the Atari 2600 called Forest, though at least that one changes it up quite a bit as to not make it a complete ripoff, so to speak. The ROM for this game is readily available: www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-forest_7797.html
