This is a very, very early memory of mine, dating from anywhere between 2003 to 2006. I remember being at some kind of film festival or something, wherein I viewed this short cgi animated film. It was decently high quality, felt like Pixar quality animation to young me but could have easily been something much cheaper. It begins with this boxed in view of a man standing on an escalator going up as the title and credits roll. The next scene I remember involves a man in a suit, much like the one seen in the first shot, in a liminal, mall like space with a girl, presumably his daughter. He places her in an open elevator, then turns to the escalator going down, and begins to rush up it, attempting to ascend it even though it is going the wrong way. He's running up it in slow motion, while triumphant music plays, but every time he trips up and falls back down to the bottom. This repeats three times, every time with him getting further and further up the escalator. I don't know what happens after that, except that at one point we cut back to the daughter in the elevator, who proceeds to press the buttons for all the floors available in the elevator. The source of this short has been haunting me for most of my life, and if and of you know what I'm talking about, it would be very well appreciated if you could let me know.
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
