Some awesome news I found out via Sitcomsonline-NBC is going to be launching a bunch of FAST(Free Ad-Supported) channels(No doubt to make up for the lack of upcoming original content as a result of the dual-union strike) and one of them is going be TNBC! Hang Time is one of the shows listed and it'll be awesome to finally see those missing season 4 episodes, hopefully the non-TNBC Engel shows like Malibu, CA and USA High will be included as well(it's possible considering Major Dad is also listed as coming to the channel and that was never part of TNBC).
He cut his trail of tears across the countryside And where he went, women wept and men died One night he woke from a vision of his own death Saddled his pony and rode her deep into the West
An update on this, looks like TNBC is a 24/7 channel airing on Xumo, Freevee and Roku, episodes of shows airing on there haven't yet been released on Freevee but hopefully they will soon. So far none of the shows that have aired(Punky Brewster, Major Dad) actually originated on TNBC. How it works is they pick one show and run it all the way through until they get to the next show, which sucks if you aren't interested in the show that's currently airing. Weird Science is scheduled to air after Punky Brewster is finished, which is at least encouraging as it shows that USA Networks are part of the channel as well so hopefully that means USA High will be aired.
Hang Time was aired a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately I was completely unaware of it because of how poorly this whole thing was rolled out, I had a Google Alert for TNBC and yet didn't find out about it until today, so looks like i'll just have to wait until Hang Time airs again to see those missing episodes. Found a post on Twitter that says what's aired so far:
Weird Science
Coach
City Guys
Charles in Charge
Hang Time
Major Dad
Punky Brewster
Since Weird Science is also airing next week it seems like these are currently the only shows that will be on the channel unless they add other shows like USA High later. They seem to heavily favor shows with a lot of episodes so while we might get California Dreams in the future I wouldn't expect to see short-lived shows like Running the Halls on there unless TNBC later comes to Amazon on-demand. Maybe that's how it goes for FAST channels-air live for a few months and later become available on-demand. At the very least if this is true that does mean I know when Hang Time is airing next-the last week of October, gonna suck to have to wait til then but oh well, guess I better find someone who knows how to record those channels before then so I can finally get those pesky missing episodes found.
Some great news, a guy on Reddit who also happens to be on TVV told me he managed to record the entire stream of Hang Time when it aired last month and it had all the missing episodes!(though weirdly six other episodes weren't shown on there, not sure which ones) He's in the process of separating the episodes apart and will be posting the missing ones on TVV ASAP, i'll let you know as soon as I have them. I'll probably post them on Youtube so I can help complete people's Hang Time play-lists LOL.
