This has been widely discussed on the Discord server, so I thought I might want to share information about it:
The premise of the show is mostly unknown, due to many rumours going around about it, much like Clock Man. The Rimini Riddle is about three orphans, named Rory, Leo, and Ellen, who live with their aunt named "Vera". The Rimini Riddle is about the riddle in the Rimini household. They live in beside a beach and the orphans are not aloud to go swimming. Ellen meets two little girls on the beach. The mystery has something to do with the two girls from Aunt Vera's precious picture, which were said they have drowned. There's also an evil doll owned by one of the main characters.
It is also known to have story and character arcs, something which was rare for a kid's show at the time, and has been called a "Puppet soap opera". Some have apparently compared this to Gravity Falls, which has a similar premise, yet isn't a puppet show.
Two known clips have been found, the first from a Valentines Day special: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj83EfAuAos, and the second being a clip posted by the puppeteer for a character named Otto the Magic Otter: vimeo.com/134085100
Here is a found clipping from a magazine article about the show:
I'm personally interested in finding this because of how odd it is. I keep hearing new bits about its plot and its really fascinating. The whole concept, the imagery, and everything that's known has been considered "very scary", some likening it to a creepypasta. I know that's also what people said about Clock Man, but we actually have proof that The Rimini Riddle actually existed.

Glad I showed this to the you guys in the Discord, and I hope since I mentioned it there, the search gets more attention. I was pretty scared of the show myself, as you may know, but after the researc, it's like an noncannon mystery the show offers.
I also found a thread on another forum that brings up the show, and has the most information on the show that is known so far: www.boards.ie/b/thread/2055385106. Said forum thread also gave us a few screenshots:
Leo, one of the three main characters, who kinda looks like Rocky Dennis when he was portrayed by Eric Stoltz A character named "Una" Rory and Aunt Vera Vera with a character named "Fergus" Vera and another character who kinda looks like Ronald Reagan Rory with two other characters caled the "Cathastrofies" Rory and Leo Rory and Una
Some new information on The Rimini Riddle has been found recently, based on some information provided to us by exprezz on the Discord server:
The show aired on Irish television network RTE 4 and lasted 95 half-hour episodes [1]. The series premiered on September 26th, 1992 and ran for three seasons (or "Series" as they're called in the UK and Ireland), and ended at an unspecified date around March of 1995. The show was created and written by Mary Elizabeth Burke-Kennedy and Marie Hannagan and produced/directed by David McKenna. Each season had 26 episodes [2].
Series 1 started on September 26th, 1992 and ended April 10th, 1993, lasting 26 episodes
Series 2 started on September 25th, 1993 and ended April 9th, 1994, lasting 26 episodes as well
Series 3 started on September 20th, 1994 and ended on an unspecified date in March 1995, no episode count is known but it can be assumed it lasted 26 episodes
A summary of the show was provided as well:
"Three children are living in a guest house with their Aunt Vera. There is an old picture in the guest house painted by the children’s grandmother of two little girls on a beach in Victorian costume. One day while dusting one of the children, Ellen, cracks the glass in the painting and finds herself in a fantasy world, on the beach in the picture, where she meets the two little girls from the picture and also a fisherman."
This description is slightly different from the previously known one, but does give us a bit more detail as to what the show is about.
Also provided was a picture of two characters known as the "Conger Sisters" who were apparently from the show, but are mixed in with other shows as well. The file name had "RR" in it so we assume they're from Rimini Riddle, and might be the two sisters mentioned in the show's description [3][4]:
UPDATE: May 5th, 2017 at 9:09 PM EST To avoid double-posting, another user on the Discord known as nathanthenerd has provided more information on the show, and provided a link to more information: generalmuck.blogspot.com/2007/07/rimini-riddle.html?m=1
Nathan said that his parents visited Ireland and were supposedly offered a tape that had some of the episodes of Rimini Riddle on them, but was turned down. More information he provided was that it started out as a public broadcast show before moving to RTE 1 and Network 2, which is slightly different from previous information.
He also described the second season as being "REALLY *bleep*ed up". From what was mentioned, the character of "Otto the Magical Otter" had a brother, supposedly named "Flick", and both were magical creatures that disguised themselves and lured children to be eaten by a monster. Otto took the form of a plush otter, and there was a magical talisman that the brothers shared that was broke into two pieces, one purple and one green.
Another description, similar to the previous one but with slight differences was given:
"It was a story about three brothers and sisters whose parents had died. They lived with their Aunt Vera at her guesthouse which was called 'Rimini Guesthouse'. In the first series, Vera met a man who pretended to want to marry her in order to con her out of her money. There was a picture in the house of some relations of the children who had died by drowning. The characters in the picture could come alive and when they saw that the family were in trouble they tried to help. The children could also enter the scene in the picture."
This is definitely some significant information we have received about the show.
Thank you for sharing my information, but I have found more info on the series. In 1996 there was a special that at this point is unnamed. No one has information on this special and all traces of their being a special have been erased. Plus 2 clips are on YouTube and Vimeo, respectively.
I am happy to give more information if I find any.
And at the very bottom of the article, guess which show is listed last? None other than Rimini Riddle: "Probably the most terrifying kids’ show to ever grace the RTÉ airwaves, Rimini Riddle followed a couple of puppet children as they explored the world inside a painting in their aunt’s guesthouse.
We say: “BRING IT BACK!”"
This does give another description, putting more emphasis on the painting, especially since there's so little on the show that's known, not even a Wikipedia article for it exists, but it is obvious that there are still a number of people who want this show to be found.

I've emailed RTÉ and the reply I got said it would cost around $70 to receive a single episode on DVD. I don't have that kind of money, and, even if I did, I don't think I could post it to the internet, as the reply also said that they can't distribute the entire series due to copyright issues.

This might be a start, but if one episode is that expensive, then it would have to be that we have to find the rest of the episodes manually like we have been with Pinwheel, another series that will likely never get a DVD release.

Actually, now that I've read it closer, it actually said that it would cost around $70 for a particular clip, and due to copyright issues they can't legally distribute entire episodes. Oh, and it's $70 if you're in Ireland, meaning if you live anywhere else, it could be a lot more. Also, if you live outside of Ireland, it's seemingly impossible to find any footage.

Yeah, it looks like we're going to have to search for episodes on our own here like we had to do with Cracks, since the only official source is unable to help us.
