Merry Christmas In July!

I (partially) found the original TV broadcast of "Arthur's Perfect Christmas" (The PBS TV version, not the common Sony Wonder/Random House Home Video tape that came earlier).

That's the good news.

The bad news it was a pledge drive special all along.

Yeah I learned about that when the Arthur fansite Elwood City Downtown Core did their page on it:

I saw this back when it premiered and I swear I don't remember it being a pledge drive at all.

I swear it did-I think I found out afterward and had missed it:/ Normally, the PBS animated programming was over by 6:30 PM where I'm from so I didn't know. Not sure if this was real and/or if any other animated programming aired at that time for special occasions.

Didn't know there were different versions either-that's very interesting. I don't recall any pledge drive either.

I do remember it airing later then most PBS programming usually did, so yeah it might've aired that late.
