Two Lost Media Items I'm looking to Find

Hi there. I have two lost media items I am looking to find. These items are as follows:
1.) When I was a kid in elementary school in the the late 70's and early 80's, we were shown a stop-motion puppet film via projector. The film concerns the adventures of a little stereotyped native boy (he wore buckskin clothes and one of those headbands with a feather attached) who worked in a circus. This world he lives in has an oddball assortment of characters, even living food items like candy. Amongst the native boy's adventures are an incident where he buys living lollipops at a candy store, but drops one on a street, and it gets run over by a car and dies. In his adventures, the native boy is aided by various characters, including a green-faced man the boy refers to as "the wonderful, wonderful man with the long, green face". Does anyone know the name of this film, and who created it? Any help with identifying this film would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
2.) The second item is an animated PSA about a little boy who is an overachiever who is constantly busy with school and extra-curricular activities. The PSA shows a repeat cycle of the boy super-busy with school and other activities, then he goes to bed, only to be awaken by his alarm clock the next day. This cycle repeats over and over until one morning, the boy doesn't get up. And the sinister tone of the ending makes it seem as if burnout from his super-busy life killed the kid. I think the message of the PSA was about pushing kids to overachieve and burnout in these kids. The film was around in the early 80's (I think), and the tone of the ending creeped me out. Does anyone know about this PSA, and what it was called? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
