I can't pinpoint the exact timeframe this happened during, but from what I remember it was during the CN City era of the channel. I remember there being a time when I was watching CN and instead of a show or commercials, all that was on the screen was a picture of a wooden fence with Plank from Ed, Edd, n Eddy as part of it. I think it may have been a real life fence, I can't remember but I do remember the picture looking like it was supposed to be early morning.
I know for sure this actually happened because I was in a 4chan thread where someone else claimed to see it and a search was done to find this screen. I know for w fact it WAS found at that time eventually but I didn't save it or lost the screenshot to an old computer. That 4chan thread must've happened between 2009-2012, when I was most active there.
Nah definitely not, but the art direction is the same for sure. What I'm remembering wasn't animated, it was just a still image with MAYBE an ambient background track
Well I doubt it was some kind of off-air card because that isn't possible. (Adult Swim is on air when CN is not) As for an image of a fence with Plank as part of it as part of a bumper or other commercial, definitely could exist, I have no doubt about that. It also does sound like something that would have had a search a decade ago. To me it sounds like it could be a generic CN City bumper.

Like I said it definitely existed and it was unearthed once a while ago. If I could find an archive of that 4chan thread this would be easy. It had to have been the CN City era, it fits the timeframe. I have no idea what prompted that screen to come on but it was there for a while, it wasn't just some kind of transition thing. Maybe something got pulled from ain for whatever reason and that was what they threw up
