Did the layout for the Wiki change?

I haven't been on in a while and I noticed things looked quite different when I went to check up on the article request area of the main Wiki.

The sidebar on the left that makes it easier to navigate the individual sections is gone, which was odd and made it harder for me to revise some of the sections with new information. Also, simply browsing the article sections is rather cumbersome with there being two columns of listings, rather than one straight one. So, I have to scroll to the bottom of a page read, say A-F and then go back to the top to read G-M, for example, on the right side. It's just not all that practical to me and feels more cluttered.

Is this by design or part of some update the site got?
