Back in December 2022, Epic Games delisted the original Unreal games released between 1998 to 2007 and shut down the master servers for those games. Around the same time, they announced Unreal Tournament 3 X as a free to play re-release for GOG, Steam and Epic Games Store that was slated to be released in 2023, but as of June 6th 2023, all references of the release were purged from the Steam page of Unreal Tournament 3, indicating that Epic Games silently cancelled the release of Unreal Tournament 3 X.
It is now unlikely that any builds of this cancelled free to play rerelease will ever resurface for now.
