- The ball was a smaller handball with some weight, like a beanbag.
- The goalies would stand around the net and try to block the other team from dunking the ball.
- You were not allowed to touch anyone (non-contact sport)
I was told the sport was created by women who were victims of abuse. They wanted a sport they could play that was non-contact that wouldn't trigger bad memories to past abuse.
I want to find out what it was and get more info about it. I remember it having a name, so I don't think it was something my gym teacher just made up.
EDIT:
This might be closest to what the net looked liked. This is a floor basketball hoop and it is commonly used for adapted physical education. I do remember it being a little larger but my memory might be a little fuzzy
Since toys apparently aren't considered media, I'd say the same for sports.
If it doesn't fit with the rules, I am OK with my thread being moved to Off Topic.
The thing that sparked me to remember the sport was that I want to write a fictional story and reference it. I wanted to get more info about it, but in my attempts to research it, I could not find what it was.
