Hello, I'm curently on a quest to documenting (and maybe find a copy) of THE MOST OBSCURE game console EVER. This console is so obscure that there is ABSOLUTLY NO INFORMATION or even images on the internet at all.
There is also a comment of someone talking about the system saying he has seen the console in sale in some magazine at the time. I asume thoses magazine are from 1977 (The release date of the console acording to the video)
here is all the information i have about the ufo007 (all coming from the video for now) :
General Information : - Release date: 1977
- Generation: 1st (pong machine)
- Games: 4, integrated into the console (all pong clones)
-Manufacturer: Fujitsu, Fujitsu interactive division (it's seem's that this last one was the video games division of the compagny at the time.
Additional information :
4 Controllers, games playable with 4 players. The manufacturer subsequently released a range of microcomputers, then again after the FM Town Marty (its most famous console)
Visual :
Unique visual of the console in my possession, and it seems, available on the whole internet.
This console shows up here on a website for uploading images of collector items, and this Twitter account is connected to the profile of the uploader. So, we know at least one person owns it. I think your best bet is probably to send them a DM.
Thanks to the information that “paros” gave me, I have found some more information about the console.
So I went to the web page he gave me, this web page contain a post of someone talking about the UFO, and while it turned out that this post didn’t have any new information, what it had was a new picture of the console in better quality and with a better angle than the one i have. And this is very important because i saw that on the console was written “fujimic UFO-007”
I first thought that fujimic was the game department of fujitsu but it turned out that the two have no link at all and that they are two different company.
Now knowing the real company behind the UFO-007 i manage to find some information.
First, a total of four images can be seen on google.
n°1 :
n°2 :
n°3 :
n°4 :
the last one is the box of the console with mean that at least one person have it.
Image 1 and 2 are the same but with some kind of filter on it. This image is the one from the japanese website.
Lastly, I have found an article about the UFO that gave some HUUUUUUGEEE pieces of informations about the system.
The first three are pong clones The last one is a shooting game which raises the question of whether or not there is some kind of laser gun with the console to play the game.
-The game are in colors according to the article
-the games can be played up to 4 players (with was already known) but what we didn’t know was that each games apparently has two difficulty named “expert” and “amateur” (witch can be translated by “hobbyist” in English)
-According the image games can be selected by turning a little wheel or potentiometer in the middle of the console
Bonus information :
-there is also a guy on twitter mentioning the console here
-and the compagny fujimic .inc has only one other product known, a playstation game called "Wild Rapids" (a kayak game) from 2000
Funny thing :
When puting an image of the fujimic UFO-007 on google lens, you won't get the picture that you put in or any of the five other.
