Are we both remembering the same vague thing?

If it is, I don't know what it's called, but at least there are other people out there who have seen it.

I do remember the horses being pretty important to the plot, for some reason. I don't know why THAT part stood out so much to me. But, that could have easily been only ONE episode in this series...whatever it was.

I wish I knew of someplace that compiled lists of old educational VHSes like this. It's really hard to search through stuff. I've gone through lists of PBS shows, and I don't THINK there are any good matches. It probably WAS some direct-to-video thing. I simply don't know enough about this niche topic to find anything.
