I'll get right to it: The show in question aired on one of the TV channels we've got in Bosnia, TV TK. It was not dubbed but rather subtitled. I'd place the date around 10-15 years ago, likely closer to 15. The show featured puppet animation and covered fairy and folk tales. There are two in particular I remember: First is set in an Asian country. It is about a humanoid fox spirit (perhaps a kitsune) who seeks to sacrifice humans in order to regain his tails and his power. He kidnaps the first few people by giving them poisoned tanghulu (or dango) and asking each who the rice fields across them belong to, each time a close up of the fields being shown. The people, afterwards, make an odd motion with their faces and fall asleep. One person he couldn't manage to feed the poisoned tanghulu to is an old lady who rejects it, if my memory serves me correctly on the account of having no teeth, and keeps boring him with her talking, with him ultimately tying her up. In the climax the spirit is killed by a human and the kidnapped people are returned to their homes. The second is about a giant kidnapping women to marry, turning each who rejects him into a statue and tossing them into his basement. One girl agrees to marry him, making him overjoyed. She discovers the petrified girls in his basement and uses magic dust from a jar of his to turn them back, tripping down the stairs and letting the jar break over them. In the climax the giant is killed.
