i dont know how much of help this will be but i figured id try here
timeframe is around 2016 (i believe in the winter somewhere) and this was in a mall, and if it helps i saw this movie in bulgaria, this was a live action movie and it wasnt animated
a dad has a werid kid, where if you look at them in the eyes they make a small storm and change their appreance (i.e if you look at them while theyre a boy theyd turn into a girl and vice-versa) and the movie starts in a city but they move to a village
i believe there were people trying to kidnap the kid, and the father starts to get concerned
sometime later the father goes to a small island, he sees goggle type glasses with a goldfish inside them that make it so he can look at his kid without a storm appearing, and it was mentioned that he had to choose if he wanted his kid to be a boy or a girl and there was a specific shot of the father from behind the head, looking at his kid, the camara moves from one side to the other showing the kid changing
in the end i guess the goldfish was magical because as the kid was running down a hill they split into two and the father has both of them now
this movie was so ?? bizzare and i guess thats why it stuck in my head, probably had more but this is what i remember, i am sure atleast the translated title having something to do with goldfish, which i find weird since that plotpoint came in the middle of that movie, i tried to use reddit to help but noting came of it
