A few years ago, I purchased the book Cosmode USA: The Glamour Issue from eBay, and I still adore that book dearly.
The book includes a page featuring an interview with cosplay photographer Loy Fruel, as well as seven cosplay photos that Loy took. I decided to go find the name of every character cosplayed, and I found six of the photos on www.i360.com (which included the name of every character cosplayed, the name of the convention each photo was taken at and the date each photo was taken). I was able to visit i360.com a few years ago, but when I tried to open that same website today none of its pages would load properly; instead I would get the error message '404 Not Found', so I had to visit that website using the Wayback Machine.
But I haven't been able to find the photo below on i360.com, or anywhere else online (except for places where I posted this photo asking for the source of the photo). The only place I could find this photo was the pages of Cosmode USA, so this image is a scan. Because I can't find this photo online, I can't find information on which character is cosplayed in the photo, which convention the photo was taken at or what year the photo was taken.
The person in the photo (who looks like a young Asian woman) may appear to be wearing just another maid costume, but on closer inspection that isn't quite the case. She is wearing a white blouse with frilly cap sleeves, a white bow tie, a black lace-up corset, a white half-apron over what appears to be a black-and-white layered skirt, black opera gloves, what looks like a black cap or hairband with white lace trim and light brown hair styled in loosely curled pigtails. I've tried to find a matching costume using the search features on the Anime Characters Database, but to no avail.
However, I've found multiple online accounts that Loy Fruel has: one on ACParadise (a cosplay photography website), his Twitter (but his Tweets are protected), his Instagram (which is private) and his Facebook. I've tried contacting Loy, but he didn't reply.
So here are the questions I have about this photo that I want answered: Who is this woman cosplaying? Is it a specific character or just an original maid costume? Which convention was this photo taken at? And which year was this photo taken? I've waited years for these questions to be answered, and I'll be over the moon when I finally get answers!
