S4E22 Original airdate 3/31/1999
Let me say first I have no access to Rewind TV if it is airing without corrections there obviously it isn’t lost. But I can’t get answer on it either way since Rewind TV is a rather small bare bone tv channel.
This would be the second “Whats wrong w this episode” that the Drew Carey show did.
What I’m looking for is the version without the corrections. This would have been how it originally aired. After the show aired as part of a contest they would air the what’s wrong w this episodes w pop up corrections.
I have been thru several collections of the show and never found this episode without the corrections.
The show doesn’t stream and has a small dvd release that only covered season 1 and some random episodes
TBS aired the episodes w corrections, Laff aired all of “what’s wrong w this episodes” clean w no corrections except season 4 at least in the collections I have secured.
My hope is to find this one episode to complete the only missing episode from my and other collections for the preservation and upscale of the series. The guy doing the preservation released Season 4 without it.
I already have all of the other seasons “what’s wrong w this episode” with and without corrections. Again S4 is the only one that never surfaced in my hunting and gathering of the show.
I have reached out with posts and messages on Reddit to no avail. I have had some leads w vhs collectors who never got back to me. I am still following up w some. I have even reached out to some rare media collectors who couldn’t find it.
So any help is appreciated.
Edited to add: I found out Laff never aired this episode clean the only aired the syndicated version w corrections. Someone noted this in a file on a private tracker. Laff did alter the show in later seasons by cropping the last two seasons into 4x3 instead of the original 16x9 so I don’t know what to make of why they aired certain episodes certain ways. The syndication market has always been odd with its changes.
Edited: The Rewind version has been found w no pop ups
