Random question - I have digital copies of all the episodes of a show (Hope Island - region locked to an obscure streaming service in US/Canada) and am hoping to share the eps (and a Google doc full of info about the show) with a bunch of people (and possibly the wider online community). Was thinking of uploading the files to the Internet Archive, but not sure about the copyright/legal stance when it comes to things like that...

I wouldn't worry about it, there's plenty of more popular shows on the IA that haven't been taken down yet. I uploaded all of Beyond the Break on there and there's been no attempts to take it down. Hope Island being a PAX show is incredibly obscure so it's highly unlikely anyone is going to try and copyright claim that so I say go for it. If you get too many copyright claims on IA worst that'll happen is you'll lose your account.

That's what I was thinking, but the only issue might be the streaming service that it's on - Pureflix.com - but even then I'm not sure if they're big enough to start throwing copyright claims around xD The Google doc is more due to the fact that there is barely any info readily available about the show - so much is buried in old forums via the Wayback Machine.
As you can probably tell, I'm pretty new to all of this, so I'm trying my best to learn as I go~
